We are seeking an experienced Home Health Biller who is not only capable of leading the billing team but also actively participates in the day-to-day billing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in home health care billing, a solid understanding of healthcare regulations, and proven leadership skills to oversee and support the team while ensuring accurate and timely billing.

Overview: This includes tasks such as insurance billing for private and government-funded insurance policies, negotiating rates with insurance companies, and processing semi-monthly billing and payroll. The role also involves maintaining payroll information, ensuring accurate and balanced reports, and providing company policies and benefits to employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Hands-on Billing: Prepare and submit claims for home health care services to all insurance companies,
  • Supervision: Oversee the billing team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure smooth operations and adherence to company policies.
  • Follow-up and Denials: Monitor and follow up on unpaid claims, manage denials, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Compliance: Ensure all billing practices comply with current healthcare regulations and coding standards.
  • Reporting: Generate and review billing reports, present summaries to upper management, and suggest strategies for improving cash flow and efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate documentation and communication regarding patient billing.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in both billing and supervising within the home health care industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of home health care billing codes, insurance claim processes, and healthcare regulations.
  • Proficiency in billing software and electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills with a proven ability to manage a team.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities with a focus on accuracy.
