Position Overview

The Physical Therapist Assistant will provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist. This role supports patients in improving mobility, strength, balance, and functional independence within the home setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy services according to established treatment plans

• Assist patients with mobility, strengthening, and balance exercises

• Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs

• Communicate patient progress to supervising Physical Therapist

• Complete documentation accurately and in a timely manner

• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team

Qualifications

• Active Virginia Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license

• Minimum 1 year of experience (home health preferred)

• Strong clinical and documentation skills

• EMR experience preferred

• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
