Position Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic home health team in Blacksburg, VA. The PTA will work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to help patients improve mobility, restore function, and enhance their quality of life in the comfort of their homes.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out treatment plans as directed by the Physical Therapist to help patients achieve their mobility and rehabilitation goals.

  • Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, functional mobility training, and use of assistive devices.

  • Monitor patient progress and report observations to the supervising Physical Therapist.

  • Educate patients and their families on safe mobility practices and home exercise programs.

  • Document care provided, patient response, and progress in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.

  • Current and valid PTA license in the state of Virginia.

  • One year of home health or clinical experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the Blacksburg, VA service area.
